My neighbors have been cleaning out their house, I think just a huge new year cleaning or something. They set this old Magnavox console record player out o nthe curb on Sunday. I figured it was junk, but being that I was too hung over to finish pulling the motor out of the red BMW, I figured I'd take it and see what it do. Hey, I love to tinker.
This is what I found inside:
I pulled the amp out of console because I don't have any vinyl laying around. So i hooked it up to my desk speaker and ran Winamp through it. Amazing that it worked. I think this amp is from the 1940's or 50's.
So here it is setup on the desk. Got Winamp hooked up to it. Sounds pretty decent. Oh, and the tubes glow and put out a decent amount of heat to keep this old house warm.
